Planning aid — not a navigation tool.

HutMapper is trustworthy for planning which huts connect, roughly how far and how long, and whether a chain is realistic. It is not a substitute for on-the-mountain navigation: trail data comes from OpenStreetMap, which can lag real-world reroutes by months, and no web map should be your primary navigation above the treeline. For actual walking, carry the proper topographic map (swisstopo, Tabacco, Alpenvereinskarte) and a GPS. Times are conservative DAV estimates; always check weather, conditions and hut opening before you go.
